Youth Digital Skills & UN SDGs 2030 Partnership
Helping Young People in Africa Earn with Practical AI & Simple Tech Skills.
Project Horizon is our joint program to teach working youth real digital skills they can use right away—building websites, setting up automated WhatsApp tools for businesses, and earning honest income.
We are seeking funding to set up a dedicated computer training space in Abuja and train 100 working youth per class. By teaching practical digital tools instead of saturated physical crafts, we help youth build sustainable incomes and support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 1, 4, 8, 10, and 17).
Nouvelle Tech × MAEJT Nigeria

MAEJT Nigeria
MAEJT Nigeria
The Nigerian branch of the African Movement of Working Children and Youth (active across 28 African countries since 1994). Governed by youth themselves to protect working minors and support their rights.
Why We Are Doing Something Different
Most youth empowerment programs still teach saturated crafts that require money to buy materials every single day. We teach digital skills where your brain and computer are your workshop.
- ✕ Crowded markets: Everyone in the neighborhood is already selling soap, beads, or tailoring.
- ✕ High material costs: You need money to buy raw materials before you can sell anything.
- ✕ High dropout rate: Most youth abandon the trade within a year because profits are too small to survive on.
- ✓ Modern digital skills: Creating automated WhatsApp bots for stores, simple websites, and flyer designs.
- ✓ Zero material costs: Delivering a digital service requires no extra physical raw materials.
- ✓ Direct work opportunities: Students team up to offer tech services to local businesses and online clients.
How The Program Works
1. Learn Simple Tech
We teach practical AI prompts, drag-and-drop website builders, and WhatsApp business automations that take only weeks to master.
2. Practice on Real Equipment
Students get access to working laptops, fast internet, and power in a safe, supportive classroom setting.
3. Safety & Mentorship
Guided by MAEJT's 12 Rights, every student is protected, mentored, and supported so they can complete their education safely.
Contributing to the UN 2030 Goals
Project Horizon directly supports 5 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
